Prof. Dr. Lester Brian Shawa

Prof. Lester Brian Shawa works as Regional Manager at LEARN Logistics, Kühne Foundation. A higher education and international development expert, he holds a PhD from Victoria University of Wellington, a Master of Education  from Stellenbosch University, and a Master of Social Science (Development Studies) from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.

Dr. Ramatu Abdulkadir

 

Dr. Ramatu Abdulkadir is a Senior Research Associate at Kühne Foundation, possessing a PhD in Transport Logistics from Liverpool John Moores University, Liverpool, United Kingdom. Dr. Abdulkadir is dedicated to utilizing research to address intricate supply chain challenges and to foster sustainable economic growth in the African continent.

Dr. Julia Kleineidam is Senior Program Manager at LEARN Logistics by Kühne Foundation. She holds a PhD in LSCM from Technical University of Berlin. She has extensive research experience in sustainability and food loss reduction in LSCM in Europe and Africa.

Dr. Bonny Bagenda

Dr. Bonny Bagenda is a Senior lecturer and the Head of the Department of Transport and Logistics Management at Makerere University Business School. He holds a PhD in Public and Development Management from Stellenbosch University (Risk Management in Public-Private Partnerships), an MSc in International Transport and Logistics Management from the University of Dar es Salaam and a Bachelor of Procurement and Supply Chain Management from Makerere University.

Dr. Tusiime Wilson

Dr. Tusiime Wilson is a lecturer and a consultant in Transport and logistics management, procurement and supply chain management as well as operations research at Makerere University Business School. Holding a PhD in Business Operations Research, a Masters of Science in International Transport from the University of Dar es Salaam and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Procurement and supply chain), he is an expert in logistics and Transport planning, supply chain modelling, risk detection and management in supply chains, procurement and warehousing management.

Beatrice Millu is a Country Manager & Executive Secretary at Kühne Foundation Tanzania. She is a Supply Chain Specialist and an Environmentalist holding a Master of Science  in International Transport and Logistics and a Bachelor's degree in Geography and Environmental Studies. She gained further work experience in humanitarian & commercial supply chain management as well as in Project Monitoring & Evaluation.

Akut is currently responsible for leading the Kuehne Foundation’s efforts to institutionalize LSCM curriculum, Teaching and Learning at University level in Nigeria.

ODEWUMI Samuel (FICLT, FInSTA, FICLM) is a professor in the School of Transport and Logistics, Lagos State University. Lagos, Nigeria where he was the immediate past Dean. He is currently working on growing Logistic and Supply Chain Education in Nigeria and on continental research  with the funding and logistic support from Kuehne Foundation.

Dr. Tumsifu Elly, Senior Lecturer- University of Dar es Salaam, boasts 20 plus years' experience in logistics, entrepreneurship, agribusiness, and alternative cooking energies. He has consulted with  WFP, SIDA and World Bank. Currently, he coordinates the University's African Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Operations  in Resource Management and Food Supply(CSO).

XN Iraki is a professor at the University of Nairobi Faculty of Business and Management Sciences. Previously, he was an assistant professor of economics at Kentucky State University , USA and an adjunct lecturer at Strathmore Business School . Beyond academia, he was a research fellow with Kenya ‘s national and social council (NESC), the government of Kenya think tank for 3 years.
