Hon. Betty C. Maina EGH
Hon. Betty Maina iscurrently the Cabinet Secretary for Industrialization, Trade and Enterprise Development in Kenya. She has more than 27 years’ experience in organizational leadership and development, with an ability to prepare and implement strategic plans and mobilize resources.
Prior to taking up her current position in 2020, she worked as one of the eminent African personalities on the Danish Prime Minister’s Africa Commission; was member of the United Nations Secretary-General high-level panel on post 2015 development agenda; chief executive at Institute of Economic Affairs; chief executive officer at Kenya Association of Manufacturers; and Principal Secretary in the State Department for Industrialization, Trade and Enterprise Development as well as Ministry of Environment and Forestry.
Prior to joining the Government, Hon. Maina was the director of her consultancy firm BECEM Solutions, an economic consulting group with offices in Nairobi, New Delhi, and Johannesburg.
Hon. Maina obtained a master of science degree in development administration and planning from the University College of London having studied land economics at the University of Nairobi where she attained her undergraduate degree. She has also undertaken short courses in several key areas, among them budgeting and financial management (Harvard University); developing anti-corruption strategies (World Bank); gender and development planning (University College of London); and the role of public policy in private sector development (Strathmore University College).
In her appointed role as cabinet secretary, Ms Maina leads the Industrialization, Trade and Enterprise Development in promoting enterprise development in the country. She has a keen interest and experience in trade policy, regional integration, private sector development, industrial development, public-private dialogue, sustainable and integrated development, government relations, and advocacy.

Prof. Stephen Kiama Gitahi, PhD
Prof. Kiama is currently serving as the Vice Chancellor and Professor of Veterinary Anatomy at the University of Nairobi. He has a wide experience in university administration and leadership.
He previously served as the Deputy Vice Chancellor in charge of Human Resource and Administration (2019), Principal, College of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences 2016-2019), Director of Wangari Maathai Institute for Peace and Environmental Studies (2010-2016), Associate Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (2003-2010) and Chairman of the Department of Veterinary Anatomy and Physiology (2005-2016).
Prof. Kiama received a Doctor of Philosophy in Structural Biology from University of Bern, Switzerland in 2001. He has served as a member of University of Nairobi senate since 2003.
At regional and international level, he is currently serving as the President of Association of Commonwealth Universities Regional Committee for East and Southern Africa and Rotating president for international Institute of online education.
Prof. Julius Ogeng'o
Julius Ogeng’o, is Professor of Human Anatomy and Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic Affairs University of Nairobi. He is a Medical Doctor specialized in Human Anatomy, and holds BSc, MBChB, PhD, MD and DSc degrees.
Prof. Ogeng’o is an accomplished researcher and fluent author with hundreds of scientific publications in peer reviewed journals. The publications cover vascular anatomical variations, vascular structure, cardiovascular pathology, neuropathology and stroke, human variability and general contemporary health issues including COVID-19.
Julius Ogeng’o is a seasoned Human Anatomy teacher who has authored the dissection manuals and texts used by Undergraduate and Postgraduate medical students. He is also the author of OG Anatomy.org, one of the best online Human Anatomy learning platforms. He has supervised and mentored thousands of undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Mr. Adan Omar is the founder and director of Bramex Limited, a logistics and supply chain company that operates in Kenya, Europe, the USA, and South Africa. He studied at the University of Nairobi (bachelor of Commerce 2009-2012 and MBA 2017-2020) and is currently based in the UK.
He worked at High Achievers Institute of Professionals (HAIP) (March 2020-May, 2022) as an Associate Consultant in strategy development and implementation. He is also a member of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce's Import and Export (IMPEX) Club and KEPSA's Trade Sector Board.
